MEETING WITH

Baptiste Baland

It was drawing and comics that first shaped Baptiste's eye for framing and composition.
His first camera, a film one, was a gift for his tenth birthday. But the young photographer soon began "borrowing" the digital cameras left unattended at family gatherings.
A few years later, two photography-loving friends introduced Baptiste to landscape photography, and to long exposures at the blue hour in particular.
It was falling in love with a British woman that led him to discover the magnificent landscapes of the UK and the Nordic countries.
This passion now shapes his family holidays and weekends — even the rainiest ones.
